- photo of the opening of the US Declaration of Independence in my handwriting. We went to an event at the library where people copied the US Constitution by hand. I went a little rogue and started on the Declaration of Independence. The passage I typed out above felt particularly relevant:
- We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
- That to serve these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Goverment, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to then shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
- not pictured: literally any work I did this week. There were two main meetings that were pretty productive; but most of the "work" I did this week was relational. Reaching out to people to offer and ask for support. Seeking and providing connection in little ways because that matters, too. And making the hard decision to ask for space from people who weren't able to hold space for me.

- this living shit can get hard sometimes. all you gotta do is your best to be honest and open, live in alignment with your values, show up, rest up, keep learning and do better when you know better, lmao that's like actually so much but whatever you can do it <3
misc:
- pls consider calling and emailing your senators today and tomorrow (1/26-1/27) and tell them to refuse to fund ice. or consider calling someone you know who lives somewhere with Republican representation and encourage them to call their senators and tell them to refuse to fund ice.
