2026/3

included in this collage:
- my final piece for the azn zine fest zine! i made a death tarot card with a photo my mom sent of me on a horse, and wrote a little prosey/poem piece to accompany it
- a snapshot of my work table when making said piece - i wrote out the text on paper and then cut it up and aligned it, then took photos and finalized spacing in canva
- the final two collages in the board book I started collaging. they ended up pretty simple, but I'm mostly just glad it's done. Next up: play with printing and binding them.
- the pages of a last minute zine I made at the Portland Zine Meetup because I forgot to bring the official Azn Zine Fest zines
- a piece made for a gangrun of stickers - I saw a call for submissions from a local sticker printer and felt motivated to make something. idk, i think "to choose ignorance is to kill hope" goes kinda hard. i'd like to think that someone who sees this in the wild might freeze in their tracks and rethink their choice to avoid and evade the news of what's happening.
- not pictured: the back of the collage board book that has a basic collage and my signature, the continued writing and editing of a post where i attempt to outline my civic/political beliefs, clearing out my studio closet and furnishing it to be a comfy work and recording corner, brainstorming a fun zine idea that i think i wanna make a call for submissions for?
notes to self:
- happy bday xx i'm grateful we spent our day making art. it felt really, really, really good to do that.
- this week we wanted to focus on studio care! we did do a pretty major rearrangement of furniture and I'm writing this sitting in the comfy closet nook. it's still a big ol' mess, but we did make not insignificant progress.
